The Davis Auto Group has an exciting opportunity as we are hiring a General Manager for Kicking Horse Ford in beautiful Golden, BC. Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager will oversee all dealership departments to drive business results and profitability while maximizing employee engagement and enhancing the customer experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide oversight and direction to all departments within the dealership to drive business results and profitability
  • Lead, manage and support department managers and employees to hold them accountable to achieving current business and productivity goals and improve profitability and efficiency
  • Model and champion our company values in day-to-day leadership to create a positive, motivating workplace which maximizes employee engagement and supports the well- being of employees
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty, generate referrals and enhance the reputation of the dealership in the community
  • Plan all aspects of dealership operations including setting productivity and sales forecasts, managing expenses and developing monthly and annual goals for all departments within the dealership

Qualifications

  • Leadership ability and teambuilding skills to effectively motivate, inspire and manage employees
  • A “roll up the sleeves” attitude and approach to business and leadership
  • Excellent knowledge of operations and business process with the ability to read and analyze financial statements
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills with a continuous improvement pedigree
  • Results driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees
  • A passion to be involved in and connected to the community through various activities and volunteer opportunities
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in an automotive dealership or a related environment with some leadership experience
  • Post secondary education in dealership management, business or a related area of study in preferred
