Chinook Equipment in TABER, Alberta is seeking their next leader as a Branch & Sales Manager 

 

Reporting to the General Manager, the Branch & Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all branch operations to drive a positive customer and employee experience while enhancing business results. Chinook Equipment is prepared to provide a negotiable relocation allowance for the successful candidate to relocate within the radius of Taber, Alberta.

Branch Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Branch Operations of sales, rentals, service, and parts departments
  • Support all employees with coaching, training plans, and communication to achieve their personal and department goals
  • Manage business and productivity targets for the dealership
  • Engage with customers to ensure Chinook is serving their business needs
  • Plan all aspects of the dealership including location identity, financial forecasts, expense management, and developing annual departmental goals
  • Manage the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance of employees while taking an active role in developing talent for the future
  • Model and champion our company values in a day-to-day setting to create an inspired workplace for employee engagement
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors; ensuring our employees maintain customer satisfaction as a top priority
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager Peer Group and Management Team to discover and implement business best practices

Sales Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Territory Sales Reps, providing coaching and mentoring on sales process and methodology 
  • Lead, manage and support the sales team to hold them accountable to achieving current business and productivity goals
  • Train, coach and mentor sales employees on best practices for closing deals and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals
  • Keep abreast of all the manufacturer’s current product and promotions and communicates changes to the sales team
  • Engage in inventory management, working closely with the Sales Coordinator

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven leadership ability with team-building skills to effectively motivate, inspire, and manage employees.
  • Experience in an equivalent dealership setting is an asset, including a deep understanding of heavy equipment sales process
  • Results driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a mindset of continuous improvement
  • A team player committed to working with everyone to ensure alignment and goal achievement
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees
  • A passion to be involved in and connected to the community through various activities and volunteer opportunities
