Bridge City Chrysler has an exceptional career opportunity for an enthusiastic and goal-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, the Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and leadership of the service department team and operations. The Service Manager will effectively and efficiently manage the development and direction of the team to drive the growth of revenue, technician productivity, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Be present in the Service Department, assisting Advisors with customer inquiries, warranty issues, writing work orders, and following up on customer satisfaction
  • Lead, manage and support the service department team to maximize their engagement and hold them accountable to achieving goals
  • Manage and monitor daily operations in the Service department, including scheduling, workflow management and quality control to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators against forecast such as customer satisfaction scores, service revenue and technician productivity
  • Train, coach and mentor employees on industry best practices and provide advice and guidance to improve performance and develop for the future
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and the performance management of employees
  • Understand the manufacturer’s warranty conditions and ensure they are observed
  • Oversee or administer warranty claims to ensure compliance with warranty policies
  • Work closely with the General Manager to forecast and develop financial and operational objectives
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Automotive Service Manager in a dealership or in a similar role within the automotive industry; Stellantis experience is an asset.
  • Proven leadership ability and teambuilding skills to effectively motivate, engage, manage and develop employees
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player committed to working with leadership and employees to ensure goal alignment and achievement
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Results driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills including the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees
  • A valid Driver's License and satisfactory completion of a criminal background check
