Parts Coordinator

Fix Auto in Airdrie is seeking an experienced Parts Coordinator to join our team. The Parts Coordinator plays a critical role in our operations by managing the parts inventory and ensuring the timely ordering and delivery of vehicle components so our technicians can complete the repair and we can return the vehicle to the customer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to earn between $18 to $25 per hour based on experience.

Job duties:
- Use reports to order parts for vehicles which are booked in for repair.
- Work closely with parts vendors to determine best discount structures.
- Label all parts upon arrival.
- Deliver parts to auto body technicians.
- Issue purchase orders to parts vendors.
- Track parts shipments to ensure parts arrive on time.
- Return parts and monitor credits.
- Work closely with estimators to ensure parts are being ordered correctly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Requirements:
- Previous parts experience in the automotive, auto body or related industry is required.
- Post-secondary education in parts and/or a journeyman parts ticket is an asset.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively with various team members on parts corrections, and delivery times.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure that the correct parts are being ordered for the repair.
- Demonstrates computer proficiency and basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to perform physical work, which includes repetitive lifting of up to 50lbs.
- A valid Driver’s License
