Parts Technician

Chinook Equipment in Pincher Creek is looking for a Parts Technician to
join our expanding team. The successful candidate will work
primarily at the front counter assisting customers in various parts orders, as
well as supporting our internal Technicians in getting them the parts they need
to ensure overall customer satisfaction. Did you know? Chinook

Our ideal candidate preferably comes with
previous parts experience within the heavy duty industry or similar, however
not required as we are open to training the right candidate who has a desire to
learn and contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take orders for parts by
telephone or at the front counter for walk-in customers with their parts
needs, while effectively maintaining and growing a strong customer base
- Assist all customers (retail and
internal) in sourcing and ordering parts in a friendly, professional and
efficient manner, and follow-up with all customer phone and message
inquiries in a timely manner
- Inform customers of companion
part requirements and specials
- Assist in receiving stock and
customer freight
· Follow-up on all back-ordered parts and maintain effective
communication with customers on estimated arrival to ensure a timely turnaround
- Accurately process all customer
transactions such as cost-effective parts returns, orders and quotes
- Assist in stocking store shelves
and keeping a clean, organized store
- Assist and participate in yearly
inventory counts
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in heavy duty
or agriculture equipment parts is preferred, but not required
- Committed team player with the
ability to work independently and as a team
- Exceptional customer service and
communication skills including the ability to use tact, sensitivity,
empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees
over the phone and in-person
- Strong attention to detail with
automotive/equipment systems aptitude and a demonstrated computer
efficiency
- The ability to perform physical
work which includes repetitive lifting of up to 50lbs
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to provide a clear
criminal record check
